Carefully rebuilt after World War Two, Warsaw, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is full of magnificent buildings, starting with the lovely Market square round which there are colorful Gothic and Renaissance style houses. The Royal Route with many classicist palaces begins near the Royal Castle and King Sigmund’s column, leading to leafy Royal Lazienki Park. The narrow Old Town streets are fun to explore, and Warsaw boasts a wide range of high quality culture and cuisine.
