Day 1, Arrive to Vienna, Saturday

Upon arrival in Vienna, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Welcome Dinner at a local restaurant (D)

Day 2, in Vienna, Sunday

On a morning sightseeing tour, visit the Hofburg Palace, once the seat of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. Then view the Belvedere Palace, Prater Amusement Park, the UN Buildings, St. Stephen’s Cathedral, and other reminders of the city’s Imperial History. The rest of the day at leisure and stroll through Christmas Markets of Vienna (B)

Day 3, Vienna – Zagreb, Monday

After breakfast we are heading to Zagreb, capital of Croatia. Tonight, enjoy a dinner with folklore performance. After dinner, transfer back to the hotel, or head to explore the Christmas festivities happening around the main city square. (B, D

Day 4, in Zagreb, Tuesday

After breakfast, visit the historic Upper Town, the St Mark’s Church, and St. Catherine’s Church. View the Parliament and the Government Palace. See the Cathedral and stroll down to the Ban Jelacic Square to dive into the Christmas Markets atmosphere. Enjoy a cup of mulled wine, stroll along the Zrinjevac Park and if you wish, go ice skating in the Ice Park with a track surrounding the entire park. Stay in the city on your own or walk together back to your hotel. Along the way we will view the building of the Croatian National Theatre, the Modern Music Academy, and Mimara Museum. The rest of the day is at leisure.  (B)

Day 5, Zagreb – Ljubljana – Bled, Wednesday

After breakfast we continue to Ljubljana where we will meet our local guide for a city tour. We will walk across the famous Dragon Bridge, through festive squares and streets. Take the cable railway up to Ljubljana Castle and enjoy great views of the city. After the walking tour you will have plenty of free time to have fun at the Christmas Markets, lively with music, street food and various happenings. Your afternoon and evening are free. Continue to Bled and dinner at your hotel. (B, D)

Day 6, Bled, Bohinj & Radovljica, Thursday

Spend the morning getting to know one of the beautiful natural lakes in the world. We visit the iconic Bled Castle, overlooking the lake from a cliff above. Continue by bus to visit yet another amazing lake, Bohinj, less popular, but just as beautiful! After a lunch break, we will continue to Radovljica, a medieval town with a moat and views of the Karavanke Alps and the Julian Alps. Have a ‘Slovenian dinner’ at a local restaurant. (B, D)

Day 7, Bled – Salzburg – Munich, Friday

In the morning, we will leave Slovenia and continue to Salzburg to visit the city of Mozart. Besides the well-known sites like Getreidegasse, the Cathedrale, the festival house, we will also view Mozart’ birthplace and the “Silent Night” chapel. In the afternoon, you will have some time on your own for strolling around the Christmas market before we continue to Munich. Farewell dinner at Hofbräuhaus. (B, D)

Day 8, in Munich Saturday

Join an extensive city tour of Munich – the capital of the state of Bavaria. We will see the Nymphenburg castle. The baroque palace was in past times residence of the monarchs of Bavaria. Next will be the Rezidence, Maximilian and Leopold Street, the Opera, the Olympic grounds, the Marienplatz with the city hall and the famous Carillon, church of St. Peter, the Viktualien-market and many more. Afternoon is at leisure to stroll around the Munich Christmas markets. (B)

Day 9, departing Munich, Sunday

Transfer to Munich airport. (B)
